Studios miniseries that reimagines classic Sherlock Holmes stories with the Muppets in the lead roles. The Muppet Theater troupe puts on a production of Arthur Conan Doyle's mysteries, with Gonzo as the detective, Fozzie Bear as Watson, and the rest of the gang playing familiar characters from the canon. The volume collects all four issues of the series, written by Patrick Storck with art by Amy Mebberson.
In "Chapter 1 Muppet Sherlock Holmes," Holmes, LeStrade, and Watson infiltrate a high-stakes party hosted by the elusive blackmailer Irene Adler, only to have their hard-earned evidence stolen mid-caper. With a twist that turns the tables on their investigation, Adler slips away in the guise of a humble cleaning woman—Mrs. Hudson—leaving the trio scrambling as the incriminating proof is destroyed. Written by Patrick Storck and illustrated by Amy Mebberson, with colors by Mebberson and Braden Lamb, and lettered by Deron Bennett, this issue features a cover by David Petersen.
In a delightfully absurd twist on classic detective fare, Sherlock Holmes—played by the Muppets—tackles a case far stranger than any he’s faced: a sock-selling scheme gone sinister, complete with a snake and a stepdaughter in peril. With the Muppets’ signature charm and comedic timing, this quirky mystery unfolds as Jo, the stepdaughter who hires him, seeks answers in a case that’s as baffling as it is oddly specific.
In "Chapter 2: A Scandal in Bohemia," Holmes, LeStrade, and Watson crash a high-society party hosted by the elusive blackmailer Irene Adler—only to find themselves outmaneuvered when she slips away, disguised as the cleaning woman Mrs. Hudson, and recovers every piece of incriminating evidence she’d left behind.
In "Chapter 3: The Red-Headed League," Jo and the Muppets dive into a wacky caper where a fake business lures a clueless shopkeeper into a scheme involving a secret tunnel and a bank robbery. With Holmes on the case, the absurdity of the Red-Headed League unfolds in classic comedic fashion, as logic and chaos collide.
In "Chapter 4 Musgrove Ritual?", Sherlock Holmes and his assistants race to Reichenbch Falls after the Moriartys steal Lord Musgrove’s family jewels, only to uncover a bizarre scheme involving a disintegrating ray. With wits sharper than a spoon and logic as slippery as a banana peel, the Muppets unravel the mystery before the device goes off—literally.
