Brandon Graham's singular imagination is on full display in this third installment of Multiple Warheads: Alphabet to Infinity, subtitled "Notes from the Frozen Ground." The cover presents a hulking, round red mechanical walker adorned with a star emblem, atop which perches a strange squid-like creature — while a pink dog-headed figure floats above and a serpentine being winds around the machine's side, all rendered in Graham's loose, wonderfully idiosyncratic linework. Published during Image Comics' 20th anniversary year, this issue is a fine reminder of why Graham's offbeat sci-fi world feels like nothing else on the stands.
