The second chapter of this charming five-part adventure finds our trio of small but determined rodent heroes peering through dense jungle foliage toward what appears to be a sprawling ancient ruin nestled beneath a dramatic mountain peak. Matt Gibbs and Sara Dunkerton bring real warmth and texture to the cover, with each mouse rendered with distinct personality as they survey the impressive, Andean-style landscape ahead. If the title "Sceptre of the Sun" and this evocative 2016 cover are any indication, Mulp is delivering the kind of anthropomorphic adventure story that earns its place alongside the best all-ages comics around.
