Mudman #3

From Image's 2012 series comes Mudman #3, and the cover promises exactly what the tagline delivers: "Mud vs. Metal!" Our masked hero looms large in the foreground, his earth-toned costume streaked with tension as massive metallic claws rake across the frame — while a smaller, similarly costumed figure watches warily from the upper corner, surrounded by the repeated lines "I must not fight in school." Paul Grist's clean, kinetic linework makes the confrontation feel both urgent and a little wry, balancing superhero action with what appears to be a very relatable school-day complication. Story title "All the Things We Leave Behind" adds a thoughtful undercurrent to this spirited third installment.
