Carol utilizes her powers to battle Ghazi Rashid even though the effort quickly starts to kill her. Not only is she unable to kill Rashid, she also learns that her old love, Michael Rossi, is a traitor. When her power becomes too much, Ms. Marvel disappears in a burst of flame. Norman Osborn hires Mason to track down Rossi and kill him. Osborn congratulates Moonstone on now being the one and only Ms. Marvel.
