Mr. Terrific: Year One #6

The penultimate chapter of Mr. Terrific: Year One arrives with a cover by Karen Darboe that says everything about the stakes: a towering, god-like figure named Netherlight looms over a crouching, battered Michael Holt, whose "Fair Play" jacket is the only bright anchor in a swirling storm of blue energy and pink light. The dialogue says it plainly — "You're just a man, Michael Holt… but Netherlight is a God!" — and the visual backs it up with Holt dwarfed and seemingly outmatched. Al Letson, Valentine De Landro, and the rest of the creative team have built toward this confrontation all series, and issue #6 looks like the moment the odds finally feel truly impossible.
