A delightful slice of mid-century funny-animal fun from DC, this July–August 1953 issue of Movietown's Animal Antics leads with a cover by Otto Feuer that's hard not to smile at — a gleeful elephant gleefully blasting a torrent of water from its trunk, thoroughly drenching two hapless cartoon characters caught in the spray. The bright yellows and pinks give the whole scene an irresistibly sunny, carefree energy that captures everything charming about the era's all-ages humor comics.
