Movietown's Animal Antics #32

One young raccoon is so absorbed in his own copy of Animal Antics that he has no idea a second raccoon kid is swinging down from a bent tree branch straight toward him — while a squirrel perched nearby thinks smugly, "Boy, is HE in for a surprise!" Otto Feuer's cover art for this 1951 DC offering is a charming little loop of self-referential fun, with the oblivious reader-within-a-reader gag landing perfectly. At 52 big pages for a dime, this issue of Movietown's Animal Antics featuring the Raccoon Kids delivers plenty of lighthearted cartoon mischief.
