"Glory Alley," the main story, follows a former boxing champion named Socks who has retired from the fight racket. When a judge and bookmaker named Sal Nichols (The Pig) attempts to coerce Socks back into fighting by threatening violence against his friend Angie, Socks is arrested and imprisoned for three weeks. Upon his release, Socks struggles as a down-on-his-luck laborer until he is offered one final chance at redemption through an unspecified opportunity. The issue also includes brief celebrity features about Pier Angeli's path to stardom through a coach's phone call and Janet Leigh's discovery via a family photograph.
