Mother Panic #5

This fifth issue of DC's Young Animal imprint finds Mother Panic soaring fist-raised above a sprawling cityscape, her white costume catching the light against a warm amber sky. Looming overhead, the steel girders of an elevated structure are draped with a swarm of bats and rats — an unsettling contrast to her defiant, upward charge. Tommy Lee Edwards' cover art gives the whole scene a moody, cinematic quality that feels right at home alongside Jody Houser's writing and Jean-François Beaulieu's colors inside.
