The second volume of Moses Rose — "Het geheugen van de ruïnes" — arrives from Arboris with a cover that immediately pulls you into the wide, sun-scorched American West: a group of silhouetted riders and a wagon press forward along a dusty road, a towering red rock formation looming at their side as brilliant light radiates outward from the horizon ahead. Christelle Galland's artwork renders the scene in rich amber and deep shadow, giving the whole image a mood of both urgency and isolation.
