Dark Horse's Mortal Terror reaches its fourth issue with a cover that beautifully balances dread and atmosphere — a lone figure holds a lantern aloft before a blood-red arched doorway, while massive, shadowy ravens crowd the darkness on every side. Peter Bergting's cover art uses that single warm flame against deep blacks and crimson to create a palpable sense of someone stepping toward something they probably shouldn't. With Christopher Golden, Tim Lebbon, and Chris O'Halloran also on board, this 2024 series is shaping up to be one of the year's most visually compelling horror offerings from Dark Horse.
