Moon Mullins takes his date to a prom, where he bets he can bring her along with Bill Jordan. After a mix-up involving cars and a search through town, Moon and his friends locate both Bill and the girl at Walt's Malt Shop. Moon then finds an old rooster and attempts to roast it, prompting a comedic discussion among the characters about his scheme. Later, Moon consults a fortune teller in a crystal ball who predicts he will see a man and a beautiful blonde, and that he will receive money; Moon and his companions become excited about the promised fortune, with one character offering to help Moon achieve his "world tour" dreams in exchange for a share of the predicted millions. Throughout the issue, Moon and his associates discuss various schemes and comedic situations involving romance, food, and fortune-seeking.
