Moon Knight #7

The cover of this 2014 Marvel issue says everything with its atmosphere: a dizzying, near-vertical plunge down a pitch-black urban canyon, with Moon Knight's small white-clad figure visible far above, mid-leap against a narrow slice of star-filled night sky. Declan Shalvey's cover design is breathtakingly spare — deep shadow swallowing the city while that lone figure of white draws the eye upward with quiet intensity. Brian Wood, Greg Smallwood, and Jordie Bellaire bring "Blackout" to life, and if the cover is any indication, this issue leans hard into Moon Knight's nocturnal world in all the right ways.
