Moon Knight stands battered but unyielding in his tattered white costume, his glowing white eyes staring out from the cover as a sword-wielding armored figure looms and strikes from behind — a striking image of isolation under pressure that perfectly echoes the chapter's title, "Friendless and Alone." David Finch's pencils and Danny Miki's inks bring a raw, gritty intensity to Marvel's avatar of Khonshu, capturing both the weight of his damaged suit and the ferocity of the threat bearing down on him. Charlie Huston and Finch's 2006 run gave Moon Knight a darker, street-level edge, and this fifth installment looks like a chapter where that vision is pushed to its limits.
