Warren Ellis, Declan Shalvey, and Jordie Bellaire delivered some of 2014's most visually striking superhero work, and this fifth issue — subtitled "Scarlet" — is a strong example of why. Shalvey's cover unfolds across two floors of a dilapidated building, bodies strewn throughout while Moon Knight, white-suited and unmistakable against a crescent moon, confronts a standing opponent at the far right — the aftermath of a methodical, floor-by-floor reckoning rendered in deep amber tones by Jordie Bellaire. It's the kind of cover composition that stops you cold: architectural, almost cinematic, and quietly confident in its violence.
