A newcomer to Montana named Rod Acroy attempts to secure Sunset Valley for himself by obtaining a lease from Maria Singleton, a female rancher, but he is opposed by Poppa Schultz and a group of local cattlemen who recognize his scheme. When Maria discovers Rod's true intentions, she sides against him. The conflict escalates into a dramatic confrontation involving a massive cattle stampede, which the heroes work to stop before it destroys the valley and surrounding territory.
