Monarch #6

The sixth issue of Image's Monarch closes out with a cover that crackles with raw tension — a chrome-bodied, snarling figure squares off against a grizzled gunman leveling an assault rifle, while a massive, tentacled creature looms in a lightning-split sky above them both. Alex Lins delivers linework that feels genuinely kinetic, and Luis NCT's bold red-and-blue palette gives the whole confrontation an almost fevered intensity. If this cover is any indication, Rodney Barnes and company are not letting up in 2023.
