Marvel's fashion-world limited series gets a glossy twist in this third installment, as the cover — penciled and inked by Scott Clark — cheekily mimics a real magazine layout, presenting Mary Jane Watson front and center in a sleek black dress, her signature red hair flowing as she strikes a confident pose. The mock cover lines are half the fun, tossing out Marvel Universe in-jokes alongside genuine fashion-magazine parody ("616+ Ways to Make Your Costume Look Like More Than Just Tights!"). It's a genuinely clever piece of 2009 Marvel fun that wears its wit as stylishly as its subject wears her outfit.
