Nate Torres is a high school sophomore who has been a bench-warmer at basketball all of his life. While buying equipment for the team, he runs into Mizzy Kusuda, a friend from junior high and a prolific girls' basketball player. Taking Nate under her wing, she introduces him to the secret world of street basketball, hoping to inspire him to hone his slumbering talent and achieve at the sport they both love.
