Mister Terrific, the third smartest man in the world, is asked by the Los Angeles Police Department to help out on a case where a man suddenly became homicidal and amazingly brilliant at the same time. But that mystery must wait, for Michael has an event to attend at The Conscientia Institute. While giving a tour to a senator, Michael also suddenly has a change in attitude.
