Mister Miracle #5

The title "Marital Blitz!" sets a delightfully punny tone for this August 1996 chapter of DC's Mister Miracle, and the cover by Marshall Rogers and Terry Austin delivers a genuinely striking image to match it. A fierce, white-faced female warrior in golden armor towers over the scene, weapon raised, while a wide-eyed Mister Miracle — clutched in her grip — looks understandably alarmed, with an enormous pair of glowing red eyes looming ominously in the crimson background. With Kevin Dooley writing and Rogers and Austin bringing their sharp linework to the interior as well, this fifth issue promises plenty of New Gods drama with a dash of domestic tension.
