Miracleman #5

Miracleman floats at the center of this Marvel 2014 issue, his blue-and-gold costume crackling with swirling arcs of violet and white energy that radiate outward in every direction — a figure of quiet, almost unsettling power. The cover pencils and inks by Alan Davis and Mark Farmer give the hero a composed, contemplative expression that feels far more charged than any fist-raised pose could. With "Catgames" as the interior story and a parental advisory on the cover, this is clearly one of those issues where the calm on the outside hints at something considerably more complicated within.
