In Jamaica, Dena Blake convinces Algy Miller to keep the Dollypops tour going, but Algy’s sudden changes push Nick Curtis to walk away. With the group fractured, Nick sets sail from Kingston, chasing a solitary island where he can disappear.

Rita Thomas, en route to her aunt Kath’s for the weekend, takes shelter from a snowstorm at a roadside cafe—only to be drawn into an unexpected invitation from a TV producer and his assistant. The next day, a taxi delivers her to a remote hilltop, where she steps out into a vast, silent landscape with no sign of life.
