Mirabelle #21 March 1970
In "The Dolly-Pops," Nick takes a daring leap to raise funds for the group's van, his stunt drawing crowds and raising hopes—until a last-minute moment of hesitation from Dena adds tension to the moment. With the parachute deploying just in time, the crowd cheers, but the real surprise comes after the jump, when Dean’s quiet realization of her feelings begins to unfold. Art by Enrique Montserrat brings the high-stakes moment to life in this 1970 IPC comic, a standout in the Mirabelle series.
