Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #10

David Marquez's cover for issue #10 says everything with pure visual economy: Miles Morales stands alone in a single spotlight, impossibly small against a sea of armed soldiers arranged in the unmistakable shape of a spider emblem. The overwhelming odds on display make this one of the more quietly arresting covers of 2015, letting the scale do the dramatic heavy lifting. Bendis, Marquez, and Ponsor were clearly at the top of their game on this run, and this image alone is a compelling reason to pick it up.
