This February 2016 issue of Midnighter's solo DC series promises something visceral and personal, with the cover tagline "The Fight of His Life!" setting the stakes unmistakably high. ACO's cover art is a striking close-up composition: Midnighter's bloodied, battle-worn face dominates the frame, debris and embers scattering around him against a looming dark mass, conveying a brutal, up-close confrontation of serious consequence. With Steve Orlando writing alongside artists ACO and Hugo Petrus, and Romulo Fajardo Jr.'s moody colors giving everything a gritty, intense atmosphere, issue #7 looks like a punishing chapter in this fan-favorite series.
