# Midnight #3 This issue contains two stories. "The Haunted Hero" follows a man who dreams he encounters "The Haunted Hero," a supernatural vigilante figure, and later experiences a ghostly apparition at a cursed castle while investigating with a woman companion; the ghost's appearance and warnings lead them to pursue a mysterious trail. "Dr. Magun's Formula" is set in the year 2307 and chronicles Dr. Walker's account of studying a disease that threatened humanity, which was cured through Dr. Magun's famous formula—Hydrochlorosextine—and his encounter with the Martian Anta Mextacas, who worked as his research assistant. The final story presented is about a struggling writer named Tom who receives encouragement and tough love from his friend Peg regarding his inability to complete a novel for a publishing contest, though he ultimately abandons his writing efforts.
