Issue three of Image's Micronauts: Karza keeps the tension high as this cover — penciled by Steve Kurth and inked by Barb Schulz — packs in a striking cast of characters. The imposing, dark-armored Baron Karza dominates the background with glowing red eyes, while a long-haired warrior in ornate gold armor stands defiantly in the foreground, cables and machinery wrapping the scene in a sense of industrial dread; a blue-skinned hero in a yellow-visored mask and a silver-helmeted figure crowd the lower left, hinting at a world of allies and adversaries colliding. Jim Krueger's 2003 miniseries continues to dig into the Microverse's ruthless power struggles, and this visually dense cover makes a compelling case for what's inside.
