In this "elseworlds/steampunk-type tale", Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy are in the bitter-cold north country attempting to salvage tanks of Corallite fuel from a wrecked airship frozen deep within the ice. Mickey risks his life to retrieve the prize, but gets only a small bit of it when he is outdone by Steampunk Pete. All is not lost, however, as they also salvaged some valuable "mechanical doodads" with which Goofy (cast here as a sort of mechanics savant) tinkers and develops a "brainwave guidance transmitter" which he plans to use in a "robo-diver" for more treacherous salvaging.
