Loma gathers friends and allies in order to invade the realm of the Black and rescue his wife from Rahger. Meanwhile, Rahger is telling Eilah the history of the Black and explaining how she may be the only salvation for his ancient race. Eilah is horrified to learn that he has came to her in her sleep and secretly impregnated her and she has already borne him a daughter--Aspen.
