Metropolis #3
The third chapter of Delcourt's Metropolis arrives with a cover by Benjamin Carré that is genuinely difficult to look away from: a colossal golden robotic skull — its hollow eyes and skeletal grin rendered in burnished detail — looms large against a towering, fog-drenched cityscape. Writer Serge Lehman and artist Stéphane De Caneva, with colors by Dimitris Martinos, continue their vision of a world where technology and humanity press uneasily against each other, and this image of gilded, mechanical death set against the city skyline makes the stakes feel appropriately grand. If the first two issues drew you in, issue #3's chapter "7. XLV" promises the story is only growing darker and more ambitious.
