Metro 2033 #4

The fourth and final chapter of Splitter Verlag's German-language adaptation of Dmitry Glukhovsky's post-apocalyptic world, subtitled Tanz mit dem Tod ("Dance with Death"), closes out the series with a cover that says everything about the stakes. A gas-masked, heavily armed soldier pushes through a blinding snowstorm while a pack of dark, feral creatures closes in from behind — tension and atmosphere rendered in beautifully muted, icy tones. Fans of the Metro universe will want this 2022 concluding volume on their shelf alongside the preceding three issues.
