Kirk Mason investigates "The Case of the Carnival Killer," in which a man named Marty is wrongly identified as one of two criminals who beat up an old man and steal from a gambling establishment. After police pressure leads to Marty's confession under duress, he is sent to prison for years until his mother's persistent efforts help expose the truth. A separate crime story features a criminal named Remarque who escapes and hides out at a carnival, where he is eventually caught after attempting another robbery. The issue also includes Mr. Risk and other crime stories, as noted on the cover.
