Eufrosina al hacer revisión en su ropero se encuentra dentro de una caja vieja de zapatos unos aretes que le regaló el papá de Memín, lo cual le trae buenos recuerdos; al llegar Memín los deja sobre la mesa, en eso llega el camión de la basura y Eufrosina le dice a Memín que bote toda la basura que sacó del ropero; Memín ve los aretes oxidados y decide tirarlos; cuando su Ma'linda se da cuenta de lo que hizo, lo manda a alcanzar el camión para recuperarlos; sin embargo no alcanza a el camión y junto con la pandilla tienen que ir a buscarlo al tiradero de basura.
