Meet the Skrulls #5
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe penultimate chapter of Robbie Thompson and Niko Henrichon's intimate Skrull thriller wraps up with a cover by Marcos Martín that is quietly unsettling — a dense city street packed with ordinary-looking people pressing toward the viewer, while hidden among the bold red-and-black title lettering are shadowy Skrull silhouettes watching from within the crowd. It's a beautifully paranoid image: anyone in that throng could be something other than human, and nobody seems to notice. A fitting send-off to a series that found real tension in the question of what it means to be a family — even an alien one living undercover on Earth.

Moloth takes on the form of Carl, whom he murdered, and tries to do the same to the rest of the Warners, but they see through his deception and kill him instead. However, he has betrayed them to both the humans and his renegade Skrull faction (who are allied with the Kree), so they have to go on the run.
