This volume collects the third chapter of the Mattéo series, set in August 1936 during the Spanish Civil War. It continues the story of the titular character, a Frenchman of Spanish descent, as he becomes entangled in the ideological conflicts of the era. Written and illustrated by Jean-Pierre Gibrat, this edition is published by Ala dos Livros as part of the Portuguese-language collection of the series.
