☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThe issue features two Western stories. In "Wyatt Earp: The King's Ransom," the trail herd is driven to the cattlepens outside town, and King Ryan's tough Texans become steamed up for a fight, forcing Marshal Wyatt Earp to make his stand alone. In the main "Masked Raider" story, a lawyer named Reeves with a reputation as a rough-and-tumble fighter becomes involved in a land dispute; the lawyer seeks information at a bank, and later confronts characters over a land grant and territorial claim, with threats of legal action and violence escalating throughout the narrative.
A peace-loving lawyer reluctantly pins on the sheriff's badge when an outlaw gang threatens Douglas City, but finds he'll need more than law books to stand up to Carse Amiel and his rowdy crew. With the help of a masked rider and a golden eagle named Talon, the unlikely deputy discovers that sometimes you have to meet violence with action—and that there's more than one way to prove your mettle in the Old West. Watch as a timid man finds his courage when his town needs him most.
