“How I Learned to Love the Bomb!”

In "How I Learned to Love the Bomb!", Mark Millar and Sean Phillips deliver a high-stakes X-Men mission that redefines loyalty and desperation. When Colonel America dispatches the team to retrieve Iron Man, a quinjet, and a Stark nano-bomb from Dr. Strange’s rebel mutant forces, chaos ensues—only Wolverine remains committed, pushing forward alone after the mission’s collapse. The cover by Sean Phillips captures the tension, as Cyclops and the Goblin Queen brace for punishment, while the true cost of the mission unfolds in the shadows.

Colonel America sends the X-Men to recover Iron Man, an Avengers quinjet and a Stark designed nano-bomb which have all been captured by Dr. Strange and his rebel mutant forces. With the loss of most of their team and the mission a failure, Cyclops and the Goblin Queen return to Weapon X expecting to face dire consequences. Wolverine, however, is still on the case and carries out the mission parameters solo (well, except for recovering Iron Man who was cooked and eaten by Strange).
