Marvel Two-in-One #9
In "Heart of Steel," the Avengers launch a daring raid on an AIM base, only to be transformed into towering, brain-boosted, chair-bound creatures by their foe Modoc. As the new Avengers—now powered by intellect but trapped in bizarre forms—battle Attuma, the Leader, and the Abomination, Wolverine’s unique healing factor offers a fragile hope for reversal. Written by Jeff Parker and brought to life with bold visuals by Juan Santacruz and Raúl Fernández, this 2008 tale blends sci-fi absurdity with classic Marvel stakes, all under Michael Golden’s striking cover.
