Marvel Team-Up #16
A massive green-skinned villain dominates this 2006 Marvel Team-Up cover, his enormous fist clutching a scrambling group of heroes — including a dark-winged figure, a red-haired flier, a white-costumed woman, a clawed fighter, and several others tumbling across his knuckles — while a purple-costumed figure and a blond hero round out the chaotic pile-up. Phil Hester's pencils and Ande Parks's inks give the scene a wonderfully kinetic energy, making the heroes look genuinely outmatched against this towering threat. "League of Losers Part 2," written by Robert Kirkman with art by Paco Medina and Juan Vlasco, promises the kind of scrappy, against-the-odds team-up action that makes this series such a fun read.

Chronok, a villain back from the future, has killed most of earth's good guys and only a ragtag band of second (and third and fourth) string heroes are left to oppose him. Our heroes travel foreward to Chronok's time to stop him in the future before he decimates the past and they are immediately met by Mutant 2099.
