“Gwen Stacy Is Alive...And, Well...?!”

Spider-Man is sent crashing through what appears to be a rooftop water tower in a burst of splintering wood and rushing water, while the green-suited Scorpion looms menacingly above him — it's a kinetic, hard-hitting cover by Gil Kane and John Romita that makes the tagline "The Scorpion Stings But Once… Once Is Plenty!" feel entirely earned. This 1980 reprint issue spotlights a story by Gerry Conway with art by Ross Andru, and the cover also teases a bonus tale featuring the Inhumans. A great package for fans of Spidey's street-level battles with one of his most relentless foes.
