Marvel Tales #114
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeThis 1980 reprint issue puts Spider-Man squarely in the crosshairs of one of his most dangerous foes — the cover, inked by Frank Giacoia and Mike Esposito over Gil Kane's pencils, depicts a leaping Spidey trading threats with a menacing Green Goblin, who holds Peter Parker's loved ones — Mary Jane, Aunt May, and Flash Thompson — hostage through a shattered window. The Goblin's chilling retort, warning the Wall-Crawler to stay back or he'll blow them all to bits, sets the stakes for "Death-Trap Times Three!" with genuine tension. Gerry Conway's writing paired with Ross Andru's interior art makes this a fine showcase of the Spider-Man corner of the Marvel universe in full dramatic swing.
