Marvel Super-Heroes #81

Riding the wave of the Hulk's late-1979 TV sensation status, Marvel Super-Heroes #81 spotlights a clash between the Incredible Hulk and the lumbering, mud-caked Glob on what appears to be a precarious metal fire escape or scaffolding. Herb Trimpe's cover captures the green goliath landing a thunderous punch while the Glob — massive, dark, and cape-like in silhouette — desperately cries "Can't hold on! Going to fall—!!" Written and illustrated by Trimpe with Roy Thomas and Artie Simek rounding out the creative team, this is a satisfying slice of late-Bronze Age Marvel mayhem.
