Marvel Knights Spider-Man #3
This volume collects the final story arc of the 2005 Marvel Knights Spider-Man series, written by Peter David with art by Mike Wieringo. The narrative pits Spider-Man against a vengeful enemy from his past, leading to a climactic confrontation that tests his resolve and heroism. It serves as the concluding chapter of this gritty, street-level take on the web-slinger's adventures.
In "Last Stand Part 1," Spider-Man and Black Cat face off against a ruthless gang assembled by the Green Goblin, struggling to hold their own until unexpected reinforcements arrive. With Goblin now targeting Mary Jane and Spider-Man caught in a deadly delay by the Venom-powered Scorpion, the stage is set for a desperate confrontation on a bridge that holds more weight than just steel and concrete. Written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Terry Dodson, with inks by Rachel Dodson and colors by Avalon's Ian Hannin, the issue's cover by Terry Dodson and Rachel Dodson captures the tension perfectly.
