Spider-Man holt Kraven schließlich ein. Der Jäger behauptet, dass Kraven sich als das überlegene Wesen erwiesen hat, indem er Spider-Man „getötet“ und begraben hat und sein Kostüm angezogen hat, um ihn zu ersetzen. Kraven weigert sich, gegen den Spidey zu kämpfen, sondern nimmt ihn mit in eine unterirdische Höhle, wo er ihn gegen Vermin antreten lässt. Vermin gewinnt den Kampf, Kraven hält ihn davon ab, Spider-Man zu töten. Kraven verspricht, dass er nie wieder jagen wird, und schickt Spider-Man los, um Vermin aufzuspüren. Er bleibt zurück und begeht mit einer Schrotflinte Selbstmord...
