Marvel Adventures Spider-Man #4
Swinging high above the New York skyline, Spider-Man crouches in full action-ready form while the Human Torch blazes dramatically behind him, flames wreathing the Fantastic Four's "4" emblem on his chest — it's a dynamic duo cover that practically radiates energy off the page. From 2005's all-ages Marvel Adventures line, this issue pairs two of Marvel's most entertaining heroes in a package built for readers of every age, with interior work by writer Jeff Parker and artist Patrick Scherberger, and a cover brought to vivid life by penciler Tony S. Daniel. Whether you're already a fan or just discovering these characters, this is a genuinely fun entry point into Spidey's world.

While Spider-Man is trying to spare New Yorkers from hearing the newly-created super-villain Street narrate his origin story to anyone in earshot, the Human Torch has trouble of his own - he accidentally brought the alien Goom to Earth from the Negative Zone. The Torch turns to Spider-Man for help against the giant alien, who turns out to have learned English from 'Yo! MTV Raps.'
