Marvel Adventures Fantastic Four #3
A purple-and-green clad villain dominates the foreground of this 2005 all-ages Marvel adventure, clutching what appears to be a powerful artifact while the entire Fantastic Four — the Human Torch blazing behind him, the Invisible Woman and the Thing to his left, and Mr. Fantastic reaching from the right — surge against him in a chaotic, energetic composition. The cover by penciler Michael Ryan and inker Scott Hanna does a terrific job of conveying just how formidable this antagonist must be, with all four heroes struggling to bring him down at once. Writer Jeff Parker and artist Carlo Pagulayan deliver a Fantastic Four story with a genuinely fun threat at its center, making this a great pick for readers of any age.
