A band of exiled Lava Men runs across the Morlocks and decides to join up with them. Deciding to take a more aggressive role in fighting humanity, Plague mutates the Lava leader, Molto, into a monster. Moltos's attack takes place during a debate between Professor X and the Friends of Humanity and the X-Men find themselves saving the lives of the anti-mutant group who hates them. After the dust clears, Storm returns leadership of the Morlocks over to Callisto.
