Martian Manhunter #3
The cover of this October 2015 issue says it all — J'onn J'onzz's familiar green form and purple-and-red cape are being overtaken by a monstrous, multi-eyed creature erupting from within him, its jagged maws and writhing mass consuming his upper body in a genuinely unsettling display of internal chaos. Cover artists Eddy Barrows and Eber Ferreira render the image with tremendous energy, making the tagline "Internal Conflicts!" feel earned and visceral. Rob Williams and the creative team are clearly pushing the Martian Manhunter into some dark psychological territory with "Different Worlds," and this third issue looks like a compelling reason to stay along for the ride.
